This notice explains how Fortescue handles personal information for the audience described below. It supplements the Fortescue General Privacy Policy.
For people applying for roles at Fortescue (including internship and graduate programs) and participants in recruitment activities and events. We may also search our internal candidate database to match you to roles (with your consent where required, and you can opt out).

What we collect
- Assessment outcomes and hiring decisions.
- References and skills — personal and professional references you provide; information about your personal and career skills; professional memberships and affiliations; and any hobbies or interests you include in your application materials.
- Equal opportunity (optional) — in some locations we may invite you to share information about your gender/sex, cultural background/ethnicity, disability, and country of birth for equal‑opportunity reporting. You do not have to provide this information, and choosing not to provide it will not affect your application. Where collected, we use it in aggregated/de‑identified form where possible and do not use it to make selection decisions.
- References, verification results and right‑to‑work/visa information (where required by law).
- Interview notes and communications with you.
- Identity & contact details; application materials (CV, qualifications, work history).
- Job-specific details — salary expectations, notice period/availability, location preferences, whether you have worked for Fortescue before, and how you heard about the role (including the referrer’s name, if applicable).
- Health information (where relevant and permitted) — information you provide to help us assess fitness for role or to arrange reasonable adjustments (for example, in a pre-employment health questionnaire or medical), and any information needed to meet HSE obligations.
- Providing health information is optional unless we tell you it is required for the role or by law. Where collected, we limit access to those who need it and handle it with additional safeguards.
- Age confirmation — confirmation that you meet any minimum legal age requirements for the role.

To consider location preferences and any prior Fortescue experience when scheduling interviews or onboarding.
- Talent pool (with your consent) — to consider you for future opportunities and allow us to search our internal candidate database.
- Equal‑opportunity reporting — using aggregated/de‑identified statistics where possible.
- Contract — to enter into or perform a contract with you, such as a non-disclosure agreement or employment contract.
- Consent — for example, where you opt in to receive job updates.
- Meet legal and regulatory obligations.
If we can’t get certain information required for recruitment (for example, right‑to‑work evidence), we may be unable to progress your application.

- Recruitment platforms and agencies that support the hiring process.
- Background‑check providers (where lawful and applicable).
- Occupational health providers who conduct pre-employment assessments and advise on workplace adjustments (where used and permitted).
- Referees you nominate.
- HR and IT service providers that operate our systems.
- Immigration authorities (where required by law).
- Professional advisers and regulators/law‑enforcement where required by law.

How long we keep it
We keep recruitment information for as long as necessary to complete the hiring process and to meet legal and reporting requirements. If you consent to join a talent pool, we may retain your details to consider you for future opportunities.
