Our Belinga Project
First identified in 1955 and further explored in the 1970s, the deposit at our Belinga Iron Ore Project is known for high iron content and low levels of impurities.
Fortescue has been progressively assessing the project since 2018, with exploration activities underway since 2022.
Results to date indicate potential for significant scale and high-grade mineralisation.
Exploration and Studies
Belinga has the potential to be one of the world’s significant undeveloped high-grade hematite iron ore deposits.
Our exploration program includes drilling, data collection and technical studies to build understanding of the deposit. Drilling has included both diamond core and reverse circulation programs.
This work supports ongoing assessment and informs potential future development pathways.
